There is so much more room in the OR now that the video carts and their cables on the floor are gone. There is more freedom of movement & it is safer to move around the room, especially in dimmed light conditions. NuBOOM is a very user friendly system and the surgeons are very happy with the placement of the monitors.

This is very cool, and so easy to use, I love it.
Francis YamazakiI knew that the NuBOOM would be great for any below the chest Supine procedure and contralateral upper extremity, but initially my concern was the ipsilateral upper extremity procedures. For the last 6 months, I realize that occasionally turning the table 90 degrees is not a new challenge or compromise. Like many advancements, the benefits of superior service and operating conditions for the surgeons is well worth the changes expected with a fixed system.
Simultaneous digital images from preoperative diagnostic studies, compared with live arthroscopic and fluoroscopic data are invaluable for practices with progressive Information Technology (IT). As an anesthesiologist, the unobstructed view of the arthroscopic field helps to follow the surgery and provide the best surgical conditions. As a Medical Director, I appreciated the extensive customer service from the beginning to end: site visits to existing users, detailed planning and coordinating with our building, one weekend of OR "down time" and involving the staff in planning the NuBOOM position. The staff education process facilitated continued participation to recognize and identify the ergonomic benefits.
